Les travaux de cette gigantesque œuvre hybride, qui forme une promenade urbaine de plus de 3 kilomètres, ont commencé voilà plus de trente ans, et l’artiste espérait encore en voir aboutir la construction de son vivant. Alors que ses réalisations sont remplies de souvenirs du temps passé, Dani Karavan commence à perdre la mémoire au cours du voyage. Malgré ces premiers signes de faiblesse, l’homme se montre énergique, provocateur et plein d’humour. Un hommage à cet "artiste de la paix" – comme il fut qualifié par l’Unesco –, qui s’est éteint en mai 2021.
