Keď sa Ernestove husle, ktoré miluje, rozbijú, tak trochu Celestininou zásluhou sa musia vrátiť do jeho rodnej Breptánie. Iba tam ju totiž môžu opraviť, pretože je to krajina zasľúbená hudbe a hudobníkom. Keď však Ernest a Celestína napriek všetkým prekážkam dorazia do Breptánie, čaká ich veľmi nepríjemné prekvapenie. Niečo sa zásadne zmenilo a pokazilo. Hranie na hudobných nástrojoch alebo dokonca len spev je v celej krajine zákonom zakázané a špeciálna polícia toto nariadenie dokonca presadzuje! Ernest a Celestína sa však s týmto nezmyslom rozhodne nemienia zmieriť, najmä keď sa stretnú s hrdinskými členmi hudobného odboja. Spoločne sa pokúsia napraviť túto nespravodlivosť a nezmysel, aby sa do krajiny medveďov vrátila nielen hudba, ale aj radosť, ktorú môže v každom prebudiť.
