After the collapse of the USSR, the fate of the former Soviet Republics and the people living in them developed in different ways. The protagonist of the film, a former citizen of the Soviet Union, and now a citizen of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, is trying to live with dignity, or rather, to survive in the new post-Soviet reality.

This musical release from iconic hard rock band Heart captures a live performance by the band, recorded in high definition at the Sky Church in Seattle, WA in 2010. Some of the songs featured in the performance include classics like "Crazy on You" and "Alone". The concert also features guest appearances by singer Alison Krauss and fiddler Ben Mink.
In "Spaces #2", 7 internationally acclaimed directors shot, after commissioning by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, a short film at home, making their own timely comment on the new reality that we live in. The project is inspired by the book "Species of Spaces" by the French novelist, filmmaker, documentalist, and essayist, Georges Perec and the days of quarantine. The idea is to create a film at home, using the environment, the people or the animals in that space. The only outdoor areas that may be used are outdoor living spaces, such as the terrace, the garden, the balcony and the stairwell. This is Rachel Leah Jones's submission.

That mean old Mr. Spacely forces George to work late, while the family wonders what has happened to him, while Astro opens one of his presents early, breaks it, accidentally swallows a piece of it (a Spacely Sprockett) and becomes very ill. It seems the Jetsons may lose their Tiny Tim-like dog. Plus, Mr. Spacely is visited by his old partner, Jacob Marsley, who tells him of three spirits that will visit him. And they do, first the Past ghost robot who shows him young Spacely picking on young George, Present (which is an Xmas present) shows him of dying Astro, and Future shows the Jetsons very rich after sueing Mr. Spacely. When Spacely wakes up after seeing all this, he's a changed man! A sadder, wiser, nicer and happier Cosmo Spacely! At least until the next episode.

La Sposa del Nilo (1911) was a proto-epic, where you could sense the Italian filmmakers (Enrico Guazzoni in this case) gearing up to the gigantic imaginings of Cabiria and Quo Vadis just a few years on. The film wanted to impress you with its stateliness and scale; at time the central action (a young virgin is drowned to appease Isis and ensure that the Nile floods) became lost in the crowded frame – but that just reminded you that early cinema audiences look that much more intently at what was going on, and picked up on details that our lazier eyes sometimes miss.
