Ο ευφάνταστος ελληνικός τίτλος της ταινίας είναι κάπως αταίριαστος.Το «σκότωμα», δεν έχει μέσα ούτε οργή ούτε εκλύει κανενός είδους βίαια συναισθήματα. Όλη η ταινία είναι ένα ιδιότυπο φιλμ-νουάρ βουτηγμένο στην ασαφή βεβαιότητα μιας καλύτερης ζωής.
