Rašytojas Tomas (Paul Bettany) pirmasis pasitinka Greisę ir ima įkalbinėti miestiečius paslėpti ją. Atsidėkodama moteris sudaro gan keistą sandėrį: dirbti kiekvienam miestelėnui. Ji privalo kasdien padaryti gerą darbą, bet kai už Greisės galvą pasiūloma didelė pinigų suma, žmonės nutaria dar kartą peržiūrėti sutartį. Dogviliečiai sutinka priglausti bėglę, bet dabar ji privalės atidirbti tą pinigų sumą, kurią miestelis prarado. Nuo šiol Greisė turi dirbti nuo ryto iki vakaro, kęsti pažeminimus, įžeidinėjimus, teikti miestelėnams lytines paslaugas. Palaipsniui ji tampa vergė ir kalinė. Viena, ko nežino miestelio gyventojai, yra tai, jog Greisė atlieka misiją ir visi jie žaidžia su ugnimi.

Devintajame praėjusio amžiaus dešimtmetyje, nebeapsikentusi netvarkos savo vyro darbo kabinete, Greta Vinton liepė jam pagaliau susitvarkyti savo šiukšlyną. Supratęs, kad žmona nejuokauja, Nikolas Vintonas (aktorius Anthony‘is Hopkinsas) ėmėsi darbo. Tarp seniai užmirštų popierių vyras rado prieš 50 metų pradėtą pildyti knygą, kurioje buvo surašyti vaikų vardai... Čia slepiasi ir prasideda nepaprasta jo žygdarbio istorija. Net ir praėjus pusšimčiui metų, pats Nikolas negalvoja, kad padarė kažką ypatingo. Vyras tik apgailestauja, kad nesugebėjo padėti dar didesniam skaičiui žmonių, išgelbėti dar daugiau nelaimingų vaikų. Ir tik susitikęs su žmonėmis, kurie be jo pagalbos greičiausiai nebūtų išgyvenę, Nikolas pagaliau gali sau atleisti.

When one of her students is suspected of theft, teacher Carla Nowak decides to get to the bottom of the matter. Caught between her ideals and the school system, the consequences of her actions threaten to break her.

Moksliukas iki pat širdies gelmių, vyras nuoširdžiai tempė užsikrautą naštą, visiškai nekreipdamas dėmesio nei į savo paties, nei į viso projekto įvaizdį. O jis, švelniai tariant, buvo nekoks. Siekiant pataisyti situaciją, kosmoso administracija pasamdė pagalbą iš išorės: inovatyvią ir kūrybišką marketingo specialistę Kelę Džouns (akt. Scarlett Johansson).

Hushpuppy, an intrepid six-year-old girl, lives with her father, Wink in 'the Bathtub', a southern Delta community at the edge of the world. Wink’s tough love prepares her for the unraveling of the universe—for a time when he’s no longer there to protect her. When Wink contracts a mysterious illness, nature flies out of whack—temperatures rise, and the ice caps melt, unleashing an army of prehistoric creatures called aurochs.
