Svůdná Mena Suvariová, kterou si celý svět dodnes pamatuje především díky Americké kráse, v něm ztělesňuje sympatickou dívku Brandi, přes den tvrdě a svědomitě pracující v domově důchodců a přes noc rejdící po večírcích. A právě jí se po jednom prohýřeném večeru stane dost velká nepříjemnost. Stačí chvilka nepozornosti a už pod koly jejího auta leží přejetý bezdomovec Tom s tváří Stephena Rey. Brandi zpočátku samozřejmě reaguje, jak má, a chce zraněného dopravit do nemocnice, jenže velmi záhy jí začne v hlavě tlouct kováříček pochybností.
