杨荔钠曾经在十年前拍过一部纪录片叫《老头》（1999），她刚刚完成的一部纪录片叫《老安》（2008）。本片继续了《老头》的主题，讲述是北京一位九旬老人老安的故事。老安经常到天坛公园的露天舞场跳舞，并结识了一位姓魏的舞伴。虽然两人各有老伴和儿女，年龄也相差不少，但是他们逐渐互生好感，生活中相互照顾。一天，老安生病住院，起初小魏经常去探望他，后来直到他出院小魏再也没来探望他，因为小魏突发脑溢血去世了。老安得知这个消息之后，心情十分沉痛。走出沉重的往事，老安又出现在天坛的露天舞场，他结识了新的舞伴，生活还在继续。杨荔钠的拍摄也在继续，本片只是她拍摄的天坛公园露天舞场老头系列纪录片的一部。
