In a hidden place, the daily routine of a retirement home unfolds as time seems to stand still. The penciled residents come to life on paper. Some are active, others rest or follow a fixed schedule that repeats each day: medication, meals, games… Around them, machines are flashing, caregivers are busy and crucifixes remind them of the death that lies in wait. Time fades away and a forest stretches out nearby.
A Minion, seeing many owners walk their dogs, wants a puppy of his own. He tries to leash a ladybug but fails. Luckily, a UFO that sweeps away the ladybug somehow agrees to become a Puppy.

From his Grandfather, Leo gets an old Super-8 camera and with it he tells us of his attempts to change the gifts. While doing that, he finds out that Monica Lewinsky is Jewish, that Clinton is the president of America, that the numbers in his grandparents arms are responsible for him being chubby and that this old camera is worthless.
Tim and Julian are deeply in love, but the gay couple can't have sex with each other. When you can't sexually satisfy the person you love is this enough reason to quit a long relationship? On a weekend trip to the sea, the boys want to spend some time together away from the pulsating city of Berlin where they live. The trip ends with two cakes in the sand. What if two people love each other but can't live with each other?

She discovers the Indochina of Hoa, her romantic encounter with Jacques (a French colon), the birth of Linh (Emilie's mother) and her tragic departure to France in 1956. She relives with Linh the arrival into the camp of Sainte-Livrade, the exploitation of the Indochinese women by the market gardeners of Lot-et-Garonne. Between memories, dance, anger and traditional rituals, Emilie learns to accept this heritage.
