Biography
Born in Ethiopia in 2007, Yobdee Marazzi is a rising star in the entertainment industry, making waves as an Ethiopian-Canadian film and television actress, as well as a dynamic dancer. Known for her role as Palesa in "ICE" and for her captivating guest appearances in films like "Travellers," "The Healing Powers of Dude" Yobdee continues to shine on screen. She most recently dazzled audiences as Maya in Netflix's hit series "Virgin River" Season 4.
Yobdee's journey in the performing arts began at the tender age of seven when she landed her first acting role as a series regular in the pilot for "Mix" (2015). Her early passion for floor routines as a competitive gymnast naturally transitioned into a love for dance, where she has trained extensively in hip hop, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and musical theatre in Vancouver, LA, and NY. Yobdee has earned numerous hip hop awards and is equally committed to performing for local and national charities.
Her talents extend beyond the screen, with appearances in over 13 commercials and features in notable publications like News Scene Magazine, where she was spotlighted in the article "Yobdee on Her Successful Dance Career and Learning Archery for Netflix’s ‘Virgin River’."
