Det lader til, at præsidentens hund er helt ude kontrol, så nu har præsidenten brug for Mayas helt specielle evner. Det er op til Maya og Lucky at helbrede hunden og forhindre, at episoden udvikler sig til en national krise!

De små kryb er blevet væsentligt mere ondskabsfulde og virker mere sygelige end i de første to film, hvilket giver filmen lidt ekstra kant. Men i sidste ende er den ikke så opfindsom og det hele går lidt i selvsving. Sjovt med en meget ung Leonardo DiCaprio i sin første film!

Det går dårligt for Joshs football-hold men lykken vender da Josh får lov til at få sin bedste ven med på holdet: hunden Buddy. Pludseligt vinder holdet alle kampe og rygtet om mirakelhunden spreddes i verden. To onde russiske cirkusarbejdere hører om Buddy og de lykkes efter utallige forsøg med at stjæle Buddy – præcis før finalekampen.

En enorm bølge af Sharknados truer nu den amerikanske østkyst og endnu en gang må vores superhelt Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) ud med sin motorsav og sætte livet på spil for at redde sine børn, som er på ferie. Mens han kæmper sig fremad mod syd, suger Sharknado’erne sig sammen og svulmer op til gigantiske størrelser – voldsommere og større end nogensinde og ser ud til at ramme Washington D.C.
