今回のテーマは、医療過誤問題。古美門研介（堺雅人）と黛真知子（新垣結衣）のもとに、巨大総合病院から弁護の依頼が入る。依頼は、1年前に病院内で死亡した患者の妻・中原さやか（吉瀬美智子）が弁護士を立て、病院に対してクレームを入れてきた件を処理してほしいという内容。古美門が対峙した弁護士・九條和馬（大森南朋）は、うだつの上がらない中年で、依頼人の夫が死んだ原因を院長である赤目義二（古谷一行）の医療過誤と決めつけ、お金を巻き上げようとする“たかり弁護士”であった。もちろん、百戦錬磨の古美門に、九條がかなうわけもなく、あっさりと追い払われてしまう。しかし、その後、古美門のもとに、九條が病院を正式に訴えてきたと赤目から連絡が入る。初めは、余裕を見せていた古美門だが、法廷で“たかり弁護士”ならではの戦い方を見せる九條に苦戦を強いられることに。そして、裁判は、古美門に対して激しい敵対心を燃やす三木長一郎（生瀬勝久）や、三木の秘書・沢地君江（小池栄子）をも巻き込み、やがて大きな裁判へと発展していく。果たして、古美門は勝利を収めることができるのか。他にも、赤目の次女・好美役に剛力彩芽、赤目のもとで働く若手内科医・広瀬史也役に東出昌大と豪華ゲスト陣がずらり。「法律」と「笑い」、相反する2つの要素を絶妙に組み合わせ作り上げる、「弁護士ドラマ」史上、最も笑える極上のリーガルコメディーに乞うご期待。
