『少林寺三十六房』のキャスト・スタッフが再集結して製作したカンフー映画。少林寺三十六房に弟子入りした少年が、修行を積みながら独自の拳法を生み出していく様を描く。 僧侶と嘘をつき、偽の薬を売ったりお布施を騙しとったりして生計を立てていたチェンチェ。彼の兄が働く染物工場では従業員の賃金が不当に下げられていた。工場で働く友人から助けを求められたチェンチェは、和尚になりきって経営者たちを脅し、賃金を元の金額に戻すよう要求する。しかし正体がばれてしまい、激しい暴行を受ける。そこでチェンチェは従業員たちを救うため、カンフーを習得しようと少林寺へ向かうことを決意する。
