ルパンと次元がマフィアのイワン・クロコビッチ（通称、ラッツ）が経営するカジノから現金を盗む。その半分を飛行機に使うが、ルパンの無理な操作で飛行機はスコットランドに墜落。墜落先の教会ではルパンの旧友マーク・ウィリアムズの葬儀が行われていた。その夜ルパンと次元はマークの盗品保管庫に行き、ロシアのツングスカに墜落したUFOのカケラトリックダイヤを盗もうとした。しかしそこにトリックダイヤは無く、銭形警部に捕まってしまう。しかし不二子のおかげで見事に逃亡。ルパンたちは教会の地下に行き、トリックダイヤを手に入れるには、マークが以前に盗んだ芸術作品（それらはベーブ・ルースなど歴史的人物に纏わるものだが、傍から見ると下らない代物ばかり）6つをルパンたちが元の場所に七日以内に返却しなくてはならない事を知る。
